About the Role
As an Employment Associate in our Boston office, you will serve as a vital advisor to employers on the federal, state, and local laws that shape the modern workplace. You will manage a dynamic portfolio that balances aggressive litigation defense with proactive HR-related counseling. This role is designed for a versatile practitioner who can transition seamlessly between courtroom advocacy, conducting sensitive investigations, and drafting executive-level agreements in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employment Litigation: Manage all aspects of employment litigation in state and federal courts, including discrimination, wage and hour, non-compete, and breach of contract matters.
Advisory & Counseling: Provide daily strategic guidance to help clients navigate complex workplace issues, employee benefits, and equity-based compensation requirements.
Policy Architecture: Draft technically precise employment-related policies and agreements that protect client interests and ensure regulatory compliance.
Workplace Investigations: Lead and conduct sensitive internal investigations and deliver high-level compliance training to diverse client teams.
Matter Ownership: Take full ownership over matters, exercising sound judgment and problem-solving skills to meet business goals and achieve favorable results.
Requirements
Experience: 4+ years of dedicated employment law experience within a reputable law firm, including experience before administrative agencies and courts.
Technical Proficiency: Proven track record in litigating employment matters and advising employers on complex compliance and HR-related issues.
Bar Admission: Must be admitted to practice, or eligible for admission, in Massachusetts.
Academic Background: JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative approach to team-based legal service.
